| Bus Passes — For People with Disabilities |
Harlow residents (men and women) aged 60+ are entitled to a free bus pass giving them free off-peak travel across England under a new national scheme from April 2008. Passes are renewed annually. You can get an application form and a leaflet explaining the conditions of use at Contact Harlow (01279 446655). Harlow Council operates a similar off-peak free travel scheme across England for residents with disabilities. You may qualify for this type of bus pass if you: are over 16 years of age and under 60 are permanently resident within the area covered by Harlow Council, and have a disability which substantially limits your mobility or have been refused a driving licence on medical grounds. The Leah Manning Centre (01279 446117) processes your first application. Renewal passes can be processed at Contact Harlow (01279 446655) or the Leah Manning Centre.
