In October 2006 laws were brought in to stamp out age discrimination in the UK. The Academy is constantly seeking funding to help mature workers (50+) to acquire the skills and confidence needed to return to the workplace and to encourage local employers to recruit and appreciate mature workers. Subject to funding, they offer free skills training to mature workers to help them get the jobs they deserve.
